What You Appear to Be

According to Machiavelli (see the applicable quote to the left) a person can be seen as one of two things: "what you appear to be" and "what you are." My purpose, when you visit this webpage, is to show you both aspects of myself. Consider this webpage as a mental notebook for all of my thoughts and discoveries that do not require prose to explain. I decided that is isn't "summer" anymore so I created the Fall 2001 pictures page where the newest images can be posted. Speaking of new images, there are four from last weekend in Long Beach there now. I have had a boring day scanning pictures and studying for the GRE so humor me and take a look at the pictures, OK? =)

Dan and I spent another evening in Long Beach. I took some pictures so I will scan and post them as soon as they are developed. We always have a blast at the marina - great food, great setting, and great company (as long as Dan is with me).

Dan and I went to the San Diego Zoo last Sunday and he just sent me the pictures he took while we were there. I will try to post them on my webpage tomorrow when I have some time. I'm just too sleepy now. On a different note, the need to write something about the horrible tragedy that has fallen upon our country is very compelling. I hope to have some time to put my thoughts in words soon.

I've had a couple of bad days and now I am sitting in my room on a Saturday night feeling lonely. Maybe it's PMS but I'm sure the exasperating events of the last 48 hours aren't helping me feel better. I just feel yucky. Maybe it's time for bed.

I saw "The Lion King" musical last night in Hollywood with Dan. It was fantastic! I got goosebumps several times because the production was so amazing. The company was great too. =)
